We provide long-term and short-term residential placements for children and young people who need a safe, structured, and emotionally supportive environment. Our homes are designed to be comfortable, warm, and welcoming, like a typical family setting — places where children feel they truly belong.
Safe, Homely Environments
Our homes are warm, welcoming spaces designed to feel like true family homes, not institutions. We use the PACE (playful, accepting, curious and empathetic) approach to create stability and consistency to help children feel grounded and secure.
Compassionate, trained staff
Our team is carefully selected and professionally trained to provide trauma-informed care to support children with diverse needs, backgrounds, and experiences. We offer 24/7 care with kindness, patience, and understanding.
Individualised Support
Every child is unique. We develop personalised care plans that focus on emotional wellbeing, education, social skills, health, and long-term development.
Encouragement to Thrive
Through everyday care, structured routines, and meaningful activities, we help children build resilience, confidence, and self-worth. We can work with each child to support them to achieve their personal goals.
Our Homes
At If They Care, our homes aren’t just a place to stay—they’re a place to belong.
From the moment you walk through the door, you’ll notice it’s different. It’s warm, calm, and welcoming—with cozy bedrooms, comfy shared spaces, a garden to play or relax in, and a team of people who genuinely care about how you feel.
Meadow House
Meadow House is located in Thurrock, the green lands of Essex, with several amenities and healthcare services nearby for convenience. Meadow House is a 4-bed house, ready to take up to 3 young people, and is based in a warm community estate surrounded by beautiful meadows. We are fortunate to be within walking distance of schools and libraries, as well as a number of large parks. The house has 4 double bedrooms, an open plan kitchen-living space, 3 bathrooms, a large garden, and a TV/sensory room. Although at Meadow House we want each child to feel a sense of belonging, the meadow represents a space to feel free to blossom into a happy and confident version of themselves.
